What is neon filament?

Neon filaments are thin, flexible glass tubes filled with gas which produces a bright, glowing orange-red light when an electric current is passed through it. These tubes are typically used to create neon signs and lighting installations. The filaments are made of glass that is coated with phosphors which emit light when excited by the electrical charge passing through the tube. Neon gas is the most commonly used gas used in the tubes, but other gases such as helium, argon, krypton, and xenon may also be used to achieve different colors. Neon filaments are very versatile and can be bent and shaped into any design or form which makes them ideal for creating personalized signs and lighting designs. They are also energy-efficient and have a long lifespan, making it possible to keep neon lighting installations for many years.
